WHY DO WE REFER TO BREATHWORK DETOX AS GETTING TO THE FLOW STATE ?

  • Around 10-12 minutes into breath work, your prefrontal cortex will begin to shut down. This is the decision maker in your brain that instructs you what is good and what is bad. It can also be refered to as the critic or ego.
  • It doesn’t go away easily and some people subconsciously fight hard to keep in from shutting down. But the people who experience the greatest resistance from their brain end up having the biggest breakthroughs.
  • This resistance comes from the mental blocks that plague you. As you breathe, they try to prevent the clearing because lets face it, whats familiar is comforting.
  • As you breath the resistance fades away and the breath will become automatic.
  • The mind becomes crystal clear and there is an abundance of creativity and insight. You might even feel superhuman.
  • what flows though you is an all powerful cosmic healing energy

HOW DOES OUR BREATHING HELP WITH ENERGY ALIGNMENT ?

  • According to ancient Indian texts, our physical body is made up of about 72,000 nadis which houses what we call “Prana” or “Chi” . These are energetic channels which flow through every fiber of our being - and they need to be clear. Clogged channels will inevitably result in pain, weakness and disease. We then suffer with mental, physical and emotional ailments.
  • Most of us take this powerful energy flow for granted without realising that it is highly intelligent and responsive to our surroundings and what we eat, touch, feel see and breathe.
  • That aha moment when you suddenly find something that resonates with you (A quote from a book or a speech ) and you feel pure energy in your being. - these are your Nadis opening up - you feel the flow on a physical, mental and emotional level.
  • Breathwork detox is the most powerful way of clearing and purifying the nadis /the channels so that you can anchor the power within your energetic core.

CAN BREATHWORK MAKE YOU HIGH ?

YES BREATHWORK IS TRIPPY

DR STAN GROFFE before his journey into the breath work space specialised in substance induced trance States. LSD was declared illegal in the 1960s which led him to look for other options to help his patients process trauma effectively. He discovered that breath work could help one naturally reach a similar state. The brain waves (theta and delta patterns) on brain EEG studies was very similar for both.

HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? BREATHWORK INDUCING A DRUG LIKE EUPHORIA?

  • There exists a gland in our bodies which is located between the two eyebrows called the pineal gland. It produces DMT - dimethyltryptamine - aka the Spirit Molecule.
  • It’s the same psychedelic component in ayahuasca which fuels our dream state.
  • Majority of DMT in the body is actually produced in the lungs.
  • The pineal gland recreates this DMT into the brain and we get launched into another dimension.
  • So when we do breath work we often get high on the supply.
  • Its not uncommon to experience this natural euphoric high while doing breath work which can help elevate the mood for days after the session.
  • The difference however is that when you do LSD or magic mushrooms or ayahuasca, you are stuck and cannot get off the ride. In Breathwork, you are the one incharge. You can go as fast or slow as you choose or if you are uncomfortable, you can stop it completely. Sometime it takes time for people to get used to the powerful effect of breathwork but to have a breakthrough in life YOU MUST BREAK THROUGH!

HOW DOES THIS BREATHING HELP TO LOSE WEIGHT ?

1. Our lungs remove 70% of the toxins stored in the body. It helps break down the fat molecules and the waste (the carbon dioxide) which exit the body via the lungs.
2. Breath is what delivers oxygen into every cell of the body. If there is a lack of oxygen, there is increased tension in the body causing the flow of blood and nutrients to get hampered.
3. As you begin to practice breath work, your diaphragm and abdominal wall stretches and strengthens - it causes blood circulation to increase and the flow of prana in your belly. This increases the peristalsis in the stomach which leads to better digestion, absorption of nutrients and elimination of toxins.
4. A lot of people indulge in emotional eating. Depression and stress can lead to weight gain. The emotionally charged energies tend to go to our stomach and hips. We hide using our fat as a protective layer
5. Stress can effect how we eat and what we eat. When we are stressed, the Adrenal glands release a hormone called cortisol which increases our appetite. This tends to make us crazy FOR sugary and fatty foods.

Breathwork can help remove the chronic stress and anxiety that is buried inside the body. It helps you get to the root cause of the emotional imbalances and clear the blockages that are causing them .

HOW DOES THIS BREATHING HELP MY HEART ?

We are all aware of rhythmic breathing that is recommended by doctors and helps in heart coherence. 365- 3 times a day, 6 breaths for 5 minutes. Your HRV- heart rate variability ( the harmony and measure of space between each beat) is a good indication of whether you heart beat is relaxed or stressed out . High HRV is good and low is bad and linked to cardiovascular diseases.

Breathwork raises your HRV which makes you more resilient to stress . Diaphragmatic breathing massages the vagus nerve and reduces stress in addition to lowering heart rate and blood pressure. Then we are in a state of PNS (rest and digest) .

CAN BREATHWORK DETOX HELP ME IF I SUFFER FROM ASTHMA ?

Asthma represent the the inability to breathe for one’s self; feeling stifled; and suppressed crying. We tend to hold all the negative emotions, stress, anxiety, our repressed childhood memories, they are stored in our lungs, chest and upper diaphragm.- The collarbone- the main place of lymphatic drainage - it is also the place where we store the fear of death.

WHAT DOES THIS DO ?

It makes the throat close up every-time we experience powerful emotions. The scalene muscles hold all the pent up energy we accumulate from holding ourselves back from saying how we truly feel. If you hold on to your anger or your tears they have no where to go but right back in the cells of your body. They get stuck in the body and clog the energy.

These cells have their own memory system - they keep score. As life happens more events take place creating layers and layers of un dealt with emotional suppression. Without getting expressed or released it begins to block your energy channels leading to disease and illness.

THE GUT THEY SAY IS THE MOST IMPORTANT ORGAN TODAY - HOW IS THE HEALTH OF OUR GUT CONNECTED TO BREATHING? HOW DOES BREATHING AFFECT YOUR GUT AND YOUR BRAIN ?

  • Your stomach, your gut is the most vital organ in your body and it is home to your chi, prana and vital life force energy.
  • Chi is our bio electric magnetic power. Did you know that the bacteria in your gut are electrogenic and can generate this chi. THE FIRST STEP TO LOOKING AFTER YOUR GUT IS TO BREATHE CORRECTLY
  • In ancient Chinese medicine, the body’s chi is said to flow in and out behind the belly button, which is the area called the windpipe. Try pressing down on this area in your tummy. Does it hurt? This means you have stagnant chi. Your windpipe is blocked so no stagnant energy can exit and no new fresh energy can enter your body. This causes your entire digestive system - including nutrient absorption, elimination - to slow down affecting your body’s energy level and even causing brain fog.
  • A leaky brain and leaky gut go hand in hand . They are both interconnected through the vagus nerve so a dysfunctional gut means a dysfunctional brain and vice versa

WHY IS BREATHWORK DETOX BETTER FOR BEGINNERS THAN MEDITATION ?

  • People who don’t have the time or patience to meditate
  • People who don’t want to take drugs to alter their senses
  • People who want instant results
  • People who are looking to open their third eye…
  • Meditation is not easy for most people especially those riddled with anxiety and stress. They cannot fathom sitting still for even 10 minutes without a barrage of thoughts driving them crazy. Which is why breath work is so much more apt for beginners. Once you do a thorough cleaning of your system through the process of breathwork detox, meditation will be easier, effective, and pleasurable.

WHY DO YOU NEED TO BREATHE CORRECTLY?

  • Breathing affects your respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal, muscular, and psychic systems, and also has a general effect on your sleep, memory, ability to concentrate, and your energy levels.
  • All organs/systems in our body are interconnected and for the health of these systems the first area to work on , the most powerful area to work on is always your breath.
  • If our breaths are strong and deep , we will live a more deep and meaningful life.
  • If the chest is tight we will be more uptight. Our breathing pattern is reflective of our personality , our ideology , our way of life and so much more.
  • There is a unique pattern of breathing each one of us possess and how our breath reacts in different situations. This pattern can be changed. Breathing is automatic yet we can control it which means we can control our breath in order to create new habits by training it.

HOW IS OUR BREATHING DIFFERENT AND WHY IS IT SO POWERFUL?

Because we do diaphraghmic breathing where we focus on detoxing through the breath . Neuro dynamic breathing - its different from any other practice because it impacts your neurological pathways using only the power of your breath leading to an elevated state of consciousness…It induces a hypnotic state where the neuroplasticity of the brain is highly suggestible and this is why affirmations work during the session. The conscious mind does not need to hear as long as the unconscious mind can. We start first with the belly then the chest to clean out these emotional storage units - feel it to heal it. WHY IS THE WORLD TODAY SAD ? HOW CAN I BREATHE TO FIX MY SADNESS

According to the 2019 report by WHO, Anxiety disorders are the world’s most common mental disorders, affecting 301 million people. More women are affected by anxiety disorders than men. Approximately 1 in 4 people with anxiety disorders receive treatment for this condition. Ever thought what SAD means? : Stress, anxiety and Depression . Stress if unchecked overtime leads to anxiety which continues to grow further into this dark gloomy feeling called depression. THE CONFLICT/STRESS/ANXIETY/CONFUSION - they all show up in our energy field. We are prevented from manifesting what we want in life due to this baggage. They have increased our cortisol levels and lowered our immunity.

Breathwork detox is very unlike any other form of breathing practice or pranayama. Breathwork detox aids us in letting go of this baggage even if we do not know we are carrying it. By releasing them we lead to clearing and healing that helps with stress, anxiety, depression, lethargy, fatigue, weight loss, balancing the nervous system, pain management, creativity, epiphanies, energy, increased consciousness and emotional release.

DO YOU GET STRESSED, ANXIOUS DEPRESSED SOMETIMES WITHOUT NO REASON - WHAT DOES THAT MEAN AND HOW CAN WE HELP ?

The emotional baggage we carry from our past - Over the years we gather all the rejections, the burdens, the stressors, the traumas, the failures which create unconscious habits which effect our daily lives. Tranquil pixie breathwork will help you let go of all that bring you down and form new thought patterns that will lead to healthier habits and a healthier you .

THE FAMOUS SAYING “THE BODY KEEPS SCORE” WHAT IS THAT ABOUT AND HOW DOES BREATHING FIT INTO ALL THIS ?

  • Poor breathing habits are usually the first indication that something needs to be cleared from our energy field. The unresolved trauma and pain in our bodies —> tightens up the diaphragm —> clogs our energetic pathways, —>decreasing our ability to breathe —>leading to tension in our body. This only gets worse as time goes on.
  • From our childhood till now we have gathered all the the unresolved trauma, unhealthy beliefs, negative thought patterns, stressors, trauma, failures which create unconscious habits. This emotional baggage effects our daily lives causing - CONFLICT/STRESS/ANXIETY/CONFUSION - they all show up in our energy field. Energy in the channels gets blocked causing discomfort in the body and setting up triggers in the emotional brain for the future.
    • We tend to be oblivious to all this because we have shut off the switch in our brains early on as a coping mechanism and unprocessed trauma and pain is buried deep in our tissues and unconscious mind. Breathwork help us access the infinite wisdom of our subconscious mind. We can then rewrite our story any way we desire.
  • Remember, the breath should be working for not against us. Doing breath work is expanding the mind to bring mental clarity and creativity and connect to the most evolved version of you. It has more power than you can imagine. It fills you with euphoric feelings of love gratitude and bliss and this can take place in just one session.
  • But arent we supposed to be doing nostril breathing ?…AM CONFUSED WHAT IS THE IDEAL WAY TO BREATH and how does Tranquil Pixie fit into it ?
  • Ok so the abdominal and the chest wall should expand and move out, not in. The belly rises (it does not sink). Energy tends to flow up from the pelvis to travel through the diaphragm and then get through to the heart. Our first defense area is our power centre (stomach).
  • Upon sensing danger or the existence of an emotion we are not ready to deal with, we contract our diaphragm and shorten our breath to prevent ourselves from feeling the emotion. What happens is that the energy gets trapped in our personal power centre leading to major respiratory illnesses.
  • The body is in distress and calling for help but we do not realise it. Our diaphragm is not expanding anymore and we are now unable to breathe into our belly
  • Breathwork helps deep breathing into the diaphragm and the abdomen instead of the chest which helps offset the distress trigger and clear anxiety from the body

TALKING ABOUT NOSE AND MOUTH BREATHING…

  • Mouth breathing and your sympathetic nervous system (SNS) are connected, along with all the trauma, sadness, negativity you might have undergone in your life- these are all the fight, flight or freeze moments of your life.
  • This is precisely why Breathwork Detox is done through the mouth to clear out all the stress and adrenaline you might have accumulated in your SNS.
Think of your reaction when you watch the horrible war stories in the news. Or if you are in sudden danger - a car suddenly comes from the wrong side and you are going too fast. The feeling of horror makes us take a sudden deep inhale through the mouth.
  • You get startled, take a giant gasp of air through your mouth - this supplies your brain with a largest amount of oxygen in the shortest amount of time. Your brain then speeds up your breathing so you can fight or flee.
  • Now take all these moments through your life and imagine them stored in your body through different moment in your life. By breathing in and out through the mouth during these sessions we can clear the sympathetic nervous system of all the stuck energies.

  • The opposite of the SNS is the Parasympathetic nervous system (PNS). Rest and relaxation, calm and peace, sending messages to your brain that all is good and you are safe. Nose breathing is the sign for the PNS because it brings calmness to the body. Meditation, yoga, deep breathing through the nose can help bring the body back into this mode. That is why most breathing practices teach you different methods of inhaling deeply through your nose and that is what you must do on an everyday basis.
  • Mouth breathing is only for clearing and cleaning and should not be done all the time . It s associated with the SNS and prepares the body for flight or fight. If you continue to breathe through the mouth you will also tire out more easily. It should only be done during the exercise with powerful intention. It clears your body of baggage and that can be cathartic for you. Emotionally detoxing your system from all the pent up negative energies loaded in your body - you are dumping as much carbon dioxide as you can from your body. As you practice mouth breathing for clearing, you will feel an increased lightness of being after the sessions. This is because your channels have all opened and your energy is flowing like it should.
